New Airport Road Bridge Cuts Travel Time From 30 Minutes to 5 Minutes

The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has recently opened a new bridge on Airport Street, with the aim to cut travel time to Dubai Airport from 30 minutes to 5 minutes. Situated on the Marrakech Intersection, the bridge will reduce congestion from Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road to Dubai International Airport, allowing airport passengers to arrive quicker.

What you need to know

Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road and Al Khawaneej Street will hold the new traffic diversion on Airport Street, and will pass through the Rashidiya intersection towards the direction of Deira.

The RTA has created this to further improve the current traffic situation in preparation for the expected growth of 92 million airport passengers by 2020.
