You have not truly lived in Dubai if you haven’t tried a ‘Burj Al Arab’ fruit juice. Bright, colourful and delicious, these funky-named fruit juices in Dubai’s cafeterias have been around so long (since the 80s!) that they’ve somewhat become a local tradition…
We checked out Pearl View Restaurant & Cafeteria in Al Barsha to see which juices they had to offer. On top of all the regular fruit juices, most cafeterias have a huge selection of ‘special’ juices, which are creative, colourful and named after famous Dubai landmarks or names. Yep, from Abood to Burj Khalifa – they just never get old…
The must-try juices…
We tried… Thabakath (mango, avocado & strawberry), Burj Al Arab (mango & avocado) and Expo 2020 (mango & strawberry). There are sooo many more flavours, and they keep adding more!
Are they yummy? Delicious! All of the juices are made fresh when you order, all from fresh fruits.
How much do they cost? One juice will cost you between AED 10 and 15, depending on the size and kind of juice you order.
The famous Dubai cafeterias…
Do all cafeterias serve these juices? Not all, but most of them do. They will usually have pictures of the juices outside if they do.
Where can we find them: All across the UAE! Jabal Al Noor is a famous cafeteria with multiple branches. Popular areas in Dubai to find cafeterias are Qusais, Deira, Bur Dubai, Karama, Barsha, Barsha Heights & Satwa. Primarily Old Dubai, cafeterias in New Dubai and Downtown are limited.
Do they serve food too? Yep! Most cafeterias in Dubai serve juices and chai, alongside sandwiches and burgers – some of them even have their own version of a Zinger burger!
The cafeterias are usually open every day, from morning to night. So whether you fancy an early morning cup of chai or you’ve got late night juice cravings, you can head there anytime during the day.
