Next public holiday in UAE 2018 will fall this month
To mark the occasion of Prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH) birthday, known as Mawlid, ministries and federal authorities in UAE will get the day off on Sunday, November 18, with normal working hours resuming on Monday, November 19. Nothing has been confirmed for private sector workers yet, but we’ll be updating this space once an official announcement is made.
When are the next public holidays for UAE residents?
- Commemoration Day, also known as Martyr’s Day, will fall on Friday, November 30.
- UAE National Day will be celebrated on Sunday, December 2 and Monday, December 3. When combined with the weekend, it’s likely that UAE residents will enjoy a three-day or four-day weekend to mark the auspicious event. We’ll update you once dates are confirmed…
- New Year’s Day will fall on Tuesday, January 1, 2019. It will be a public holiday for both private and public sector workers.
