There’s a ‘Magical Wishing Well’ in Dubai right now – and of course, we had to check it out! In line with the spirit of giving this Ramadan, Disney and Dubai Festival City Mall have teamed up to create a unique ‘Magical Wishing Well’ that lets you send special messages to your loved ones anywhere in the world.
We went down to Dubai Festival City Mall to send out a few quirky greetings to friends and family around the world, and watched as our messages came to life in the Disney ‘Magical Wishing Well’!
How to send your own magical greetings
Whether you want to wish your friends and family Ramadan Kareem, Happy Birthday, or customise your own quirky greetings (like the riddle we sent to our Deputy Editor!), here’s what you’ll need to do:
Step 1: Visit one of the three Disney pods around Dubai Festival City Mall (1. VIP Valet entrance, next to MAC 2. M&S Entrance 3. Link bridge near IKEA)
Step 2: Fill in your details and the recipient’s details
Step 3: Choose your greeting or customise your own special message
Step 4: Wait for your token to be printed and take it to the Magical Wishing Well in the mall’s Festival Square
Step 5: Scan your token and watch as your magical greeting comes to life
Step 6: Don’t forget to smile at the camera (it will be on your right on the floor above) as a picture will be captured and emailed to your loved one
Step 7: Go back to the Disney pods and send as many more greetings as you like!
To celebrate the Holy Month, Dubai Festival City Mall will also be donating AED 1 to the Al Jalila Foundation for every greeting that is sent.
