While even the best biryani in Dubai will never compare to mama’s cooking, it’s still great exploring what chefs around town are cooking up. Need some biryani recommendations? Here are 5 spots you’ll love.
1. Biryani Pot Dubai
Biryani Pot Dubai offers diners a contemporary twist on much-loved Indian favourites, from Chicken Tikka Masala to Tandoori mixed grills (quinoa biryani, anyone?) A bright, cheery restaurant splashed with colour and character, they offer a fresh take on all the classics that get points for creativity.
Price: You’ll spend around AED 60
Location: Jumeirah Beach Rd.
insydo tip: Biryani Pot Dubai is a small venue with just a few tables and chairs – expect it to get busy on weekends.
2. Daily Restaurant
One of our favourite contenders for ‘best biryani in Dubai’ is Daily Restaurant, a low-key Pakistani outlet with an awesome reputation. Not only is everything on the menu affordable, but they rotate a delicious ‘daily special’ so there’s always something new to experience. Oh, and the mutton biryani is in a league of its own.
Price: You’ll spend around AED 30
Location: Multiple locations; check out the branch behind Ramee Royal Hotel in Karama
insydo tip:
3. Biryani Street
What we love most about Biryani Street is the sheer range of biryani dishes they have on offer. Not only will you find traditional fish, chicken, mutton and prawns, but they also have Hyderabadi-style biryanis that pack a spicy punch. Quirky and playful, this modern eatery always hits the spot.
Price: You’ll spend around AED 60
Location: Golden Mile, Palm Jumeirah
insydo tip: They offer special family meals that feed 6 with a huge selection of menu items included.
4. Unforgettable Biryani
The owners over at Unforgettable Biryani came up with a restaurant name that, in all honesty, pretty much sums things up. Serving up homestyle biryani along with curries and awesome Desi snacks, we’re especially fond of their Egg Zafrani biryani – it’s a must try!
Price: You’ll spend around AED 50
Location: JLT, Cluster T
insydo tip: Your order can be made extra spicy, or not spicy at all – the restaurant let’s you decide what you can handle.
5. 25 Degrees North
Looking for the best biryani in Dubai? If you’ve never experienced 25 Degrees North, we definitely think it deserves your attention. This contemporary eatery showcases everything from Pakistani to Mughlai and North Indian cuisines. You’ll love the awesome interiors and menu loaded with a great mix of flavours.
Price: You’ll spend around AED 80
Location: Damac Executive Heights, Barsha Heights
insydo tip: You’ll find a great selection of mocktails including virgin mojitos and lemon ice tea.
