Sushi doughnuts – a popular food trend that has been spotted all over Instagram in the past year. Made to look like a doughnut but tastes like sushi, these colourful creations are quickly becoming more popular around the city. Here’s where to find sushi doughnuts in Dubai:
1. Yakitate
A hidden foodie gem in Al Rigga, Yakitate Japanese Boutique Bakery & Cafe boasts a unique menu filled with Japanese favourites. A popular dish at Yakitate is their sushi doughnuts which come in everything from Rainbow Veg (avocado, cucumber, mango, strawberry and tobiko) to Ebi (shrimp, avocado and tobiko).

2. Scape Restaurant & Lounge
The Cali-style brunch at Burj Al Arab’s Scape Restaurant & Lounge offers Californian cuisine coupled with creative drinks. We recently tried it out and let’s just say we’ll definitely be coming back for their sushi doughnuts. These colourful creations are presented on a circular bed of rice and topped with a refreshing combo of salmon, strawberries and avocado.

They’re made with rice, cucumber, mayo and sesame seeds, and comes in your choice of fish, seafood or vegetarian.
