If you love Cirque du Soleil, get ready to be blown away by what’s coming next. The city is preparing to launch the region’s first ‘aqua-theatre’ show La Perle Dubai on August 31… and it’s going to be the hottest ticket in town.
La Perle is a dynamic Las Vegas-style show that will feature stunning aerial acrobatics in a purpose-built theatre at Al Habtoor City. The stage alone holds 2.7 million litres of water in a 10-storey building that resembles a futuristic opera house.
The show is the brainchild of Franco Dragone, the man who created and directed Celine Dion’s Vegas residency show A New Day, as well The House of Dancing Water in Macau.
More than 65 cast members will be tumbling, swinging and diving from a height of 35 metres, alongside live musicians every night. The state-of-the-art venue is big enough to accommodate 1,300 guests in what looks set to be Dubai’s next big attraction.
Don’t miss it:
La Perle by Dragone premieres on August 31 at Al Habtoor City, with performances running from Tuesday to Friday, 7pm and 9:30pm; and Saturday, 4pm and 7pm. Tickets start at AED 400 from www.laperle.com.
