UAE Announces First Holiday of the New Year For Private Sector

It’s the good news that most were expecting: the UAE government has announced a one-day holiday for the private sector on Monday, January 1.

Private sector employees will have New Year’s Day off, with work resuming on Tuesday, January 2.

The New Year’s holiday for the public sector will be on Sunday, December 31 and Monday January 1, giving employees a four-day weekend. Work will resume on Tuesday, January 2.
