UAE announces Ramadan working hours 2018
The Holy Month of Ramadan is likely to begin on Wednesday, May 16 or Thursday, May 17, subject to the moon sighting. For all public sector employees in the UAE, working hours will be reduced by 2 hours on every working day. Employees will report to duty from 9am until 2pm.
Ramadan working hours for the private sector have not yet been announced. In previous years, private sector employees have had their working hours reduced by two hours, irrespective of whether they are Muslim or non-Muslim. (The exception is DIFC, which is governed by its own laws.)
