UAE Announces Eid Al Adha Holidays For Public Sector

The UAE government has announced Eid Al Adha holidays for the public sector, following the sighting of the crescent moon on Tuesday.

The government declared on Wednesday that public sector employees will get two working days off from Thursday, August 31 until Monday, September 4 when work resumes.

An Eid Al Adha holiday announcement for the private sector is expected to follow soon. If the government decides to combine Arafat Day with Eid Al Adha for the private sector, it could mean a 4-day weekend.
