Planning your upcoming travel holidays for 2018 just got a little easier. The Abu Dhabi government has announced the official list of UAE publics holidays 2018. Here’s what you should know…
A guide to UAE public holidays 2018:
All federal government departments and ministries will be closed on the following days:
- New Year’s Day: January 1… (1 day off)
- Israa Wal Miraj: April 13… (1 day off)
- Start of Ramadan: May 16
- Eid Al Fitr: June 14 to 16…. (3 days off)
- Start of Hajj season: August 12
- Arafat Day: August 20… (1 day off)
- Eid Al Adha: August 21 to 23… (3 days off)
- Hijri New Year: September 11… (1 day off)
- Prophet’s birthday (pbuh): November 19… (1 day off)
- Martyrs’ Day: November 30… (1 day off)
- UAE National Day: December 2 and 3 … (2 days off)
Islamic holidays are subject to moon sighting and dates may change slightly. We’ll be updating this list throughout the year as dates are confirmed.
