5 Live Music Spots in Dubai to Check Out This Month
Are you looking for a proper jam session tonight? We’ve rounded up a few of our favourite live music Dubai venues showcasing the city’s emerging talents alongside established acts, starting with…
1. Jazz@PizzaExpress
Vibes: There’s something about Jazz@PizzaExpress that keeps us coming back for more (and it’s not the incredible margarita pizza). The restaurant hosts a diverse range of musical talents – from swing bands to impressive vocalists. We suggest reserving a table with some distance to the stage – things can get really loud here.
Location: Mövenpick Hotel, JLT (Cluster A)
2. Hard Rock Cafe
Vibes: You’d be forgiven for thinking that the Hard Rock Cafe in Dubai is something of a tourist trap, but the live music nights here will most definitely change your mind. With acts taking the stage throughout the week, come down for a burger and beer while performers entertain on stage.
Location: Dubai Festival City Mall
3. Lock Stock & Barrel
Vibes: This is where you’ll usually catch us at the weekend when Lock Stock & Barrel hosts talented bands like Gorgeous George and 13 Daze. If you have yet to step foot inside LSB’s new location in JBR, we suggest heading down for ladies’ night on Tuesday (includes 3 free drinks!)
Locations: Barsha Heights | JBR
4. Max Music Bar
Vibes: Showcasing live music seven nights a week, Max Music Bar is a no-fuss sort of place with plenty of character. They also host a popular Kabayan brunch with karaoke every Friday if you’re craving a bit of the spotlight yourself.
Location: Citymax Hotel, behind Mall of the Emirates
5. MusicHall
Vibes: In terms of sheer luxury and breadth of talent on stage, no venue holds a candle to MusicHall. This dinner/theatre club hosts multiple music acts from around the world each weekend, and they’re always impressively unique. If you’ve got friends visiting, it’s an easy choice to make for a Friday night.
Location: Jumeirah Zabeel Saray, Palm Jumeirah
