We hate referring to Old Dubai as “charming” – the description feels cliche and out-of-sync with what the district really has to offer. That said, if you’re trying to expand your nightlife horizons, here are 6 good places to start…
1. Boracay
Come down for… the fun atmosphere at this cavernous nightclub, lounge and dining spot. Named after the white beaches of Boracay Island in the Philippines, this hometown favourite boasts karaoke nights, live music and more.
Location: Asiana Hotel, Deira

2. Club Se7en
Come down for… the live music nights with Filipino bands like The PureMix, XYZ Band and other talented acts. Club Se7en is a place you’ll want to dance…
Location: Park Regis Kris Kin Hotel, Al Karama

3. Freddy’s Restrocafé and Bowling
Come down for… eating, drinking and bowling. Freddy’s Restrocafé and Bowling features London-inspired interiors and vibes… it’s especially great if you enjoy a beer while you bowl.
Location: Damascus St., Al Qusais

4. Miss Wáng
Come down for… the 3 free cocktails and 50% off on food and selected beverages every Sunday during ladies’ night. Miss Wáng is an Asian fusion hotspot that does everything from karaoke nights to massive cocktails.
Location: Majestic Hotel Tower, Al Mankhool Rd. in Bur Dubai
5. QD’s
Come down for… the incredible postcard-worthy views of the Dubai skyline. QD’s is a nostalgic favourite for us… and it remains one of our all-time favourite Creekside hangouts (especially if you love shisha!)
Location: Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club

6. Yesterday Pub & Restaurant
Come down for… the quirky atmosphere at this Ye Olde English pub. Yesterday Pub & Restaurant combines old-world nostalgia with modern sports bar vibes. Definitely a must-try.
