1. Diwali celebrations
It’s Diwali this Thursday, and celebrations are in full swing at The Dubai Mall! From Bollywood dance shows and saree-tying tutorials to henna artists and Indian carts selling bangles and bindis, there’ll be fun for all ages.

2. Petting Farm
Love animals? Head to Dubai Garden Glow on Thursday, where kids will be able to meet, pet and feed the farm animals from Al Tamimi Stables. Better yet, they can also enjoy a ride on Blondie the pony!

3. Beach Clean-up
Our beaches need cleaning up, and here’s how you can help. Join a group of volunteers as they take on Kite Beach to raise awareness by collecting discarded cigarette butts, plastic bags and empty water bottles.

4. Arte Market
In need of some retail therapy? Head down to Mercato Mall this Friday to check out the largest urban arts and crafts market in town. From jewellery and home décor to handmade toys and clothes, they’ve got it all.

5. Backyard Barbecue
Dubai is getting cooler which means.. barbecue season is back! Gather the family and head to Links on Friday for some fun in the sun and a barbecue picnic. Kids will be kept busy with free pony rides, a bouncy castle, golf activities and more.

9. Volunteer with dogs
Calling all dog lovers! The Stray Dogs Centre in Umm Al Quwain is looking for volunteers to walk, run and play with the dogs this weekend. So if you’re free, come on down and help out.
