Malls, malls, and more malls… Dubai’s got plenty of retail space to keep shopaholics busy. But get ready because a new Dubai floating market concept is launching in the emirate this year. Here’s what you should know…
Dubai floating market to launch at Al Seef
A new floating market is set to open at Al Seef along the Dubai Creek sometime in May. The retail concept will feature 17 abra-inspired boats turned into boutiques (air-conditioned, thankfully), selling everything from fashion to souvenirs, art, collectibles and tasty bites.
Here’s what the concept looks like
The project is the brainchild of BEYOUland, a creative agency that has hosted pop-up markets at Kite Beach and City Walk in previous years. The first of its kind in the Middle East, the new floating boutiques are expected to attract a wide range of local and international vendors when it launches.
No word yet on when the floating market will be open for business, but we’ll be updating this space as soon as we learn more. We seriously can’t wait to check it out!
